Tallahassee is my home. It’s where my wife Gail and I met, raised our kids and started a business nearly 30 years ago.
Over the years, I have made it a priority—personally and professionally—to give back to this wonderful community whenever possible. As your City Commissioner for the past eight years, it has been a priority of mine to help maintain the parts of our community we cherish most. While we have major issues to confront, Tallahassee is still one of the best places in Florida to raise a family, start a business, and enjoy the diversity of a community that welcomes challenge and change while maintaining the strong values of its past.
It's easy to say when something is wrong but leadership is about demonstrating the ability to proactively address a problem in a civil way and provide solutions. In my time thus far on the City Commission, I have been able to bring people together to solve their differences. From solving noise issues to maintaining the delicate balance between protecting our neighborhoods while allowing space for development, we’ve been able to work through many of our differences rather than remain divided by them.
This election for Mayor is about solving the problems that our community faces in a manner that leads to a better way of life for all our citizens. I have tried to do that my entire life and I look forward to continuing that effort as your Mayor.
